RIOT XR - The CrossRide Kite

What becomes immediately apparent is the explosive and yet smooth power generation of the RIOT XR with massive Hangtime on demand.

Thanks to the newly developed Profile (flatter at the top and rounded tips) the wind range has been noticeably improved: High-End (up to 5 knots more) with a lot of control at both the High and Low End limits. With the reduced drag and almost completely reduced lateral forces the RIOT XR has once again dramatically improved the upwind performance of the Kite.

In low winds the already good launching ability has been optimised with the new auto relaunch and wider tips.

XR Technology

CORE Kites are known for using only the highest quality Material. Only specifically selected materials are used; such as the UV-resistant canopy. The use of only the highest quality materials is combined with a unique manufacturing method: Individual fabrics are first dipped with the coating before being woven and then being heated to the “Calendar finish”. In this way each individual fibre is sealed and this results in the fabric not absorbing water even after extended use; which is in stark contrast to fabrics coated later in the manufacturing process.

In our production facility, in which only Tubekites are produced, we use sophisticated quality management, which work within a zero tolerance framework. This ensures that continuous quality is achieved.

When you touch the Kite lines you can feel the unmistakeable quality of the material. All the lines and knots on the Kite are “Made in Germany”. Yes, we develop them together with our Partner Liros in Germany. Liros lines are well known in Aviation sports, for consistent and perfect finishes, reliable stiffness, abrasion resistance, sensitivity and safety.

The flight lines of the CORE ESP-Bar have a breaking load of 368k at a diameter of only 1,8mm

The RIOT XR has a new One-Pump-System. The tube lies streamlined and close to the canopy allowing for more cost-efficient servicing.

Middle strut: We are of the opinion that the Middle strut should be “Solid as a rock”. For years we have tried kites or prototypes without Middle Struts or with “Infill-Floating-Struts“; only to confirm that the Flight stability suffers without it. As a result we have stayed with the tried and trusted: „Never change a winning team.“

Riot XR – experience the new Freeride Convenience!

Crossride – this sums up the Riot XR – Freeriding, Cruising, Carving, easy Wave and Hangtime; which in no way excludes Free-, Wake- and Newstyle!

The (until now absent) Synthesis – predominantly from the modern Delta with the control of the Bow and enough C-Kite feeling – lends itself to the Freerider who wants performance with Comfort and endless Control.

What aspects of the legendary RIOT are incorporated in the design?

The unmatched light bar pressure as well as the Ease and Safety of the Kite. In addition to these the RIOT XR has noticeably improved bar feedback especially when depowered - this makes Wave riding an absolute pleasure. This kite is aimed to give you a comfortable ride and performance with limitless control.

New and exclusive are the three-step adjustable Bar-pressure of the Kite as well as the three adjustable turning speeds.
In this way the RIOT XR achieves new Kiteloop and Wave performance levels, Hooked/Unhooked for smooth, quick and on demand turning of the Kite.
