CORE GT - The "All-In-One"-KiteIn autumn 2007 we embarked on a dream, to engineer a real “All-In-One” kite. A kite that would suit everyone including die hard “C” kiters. In comparison to the ‘COMBAT WAVE’ we equipped the ‘GT’ with more power, for bigger jumps and hang-time, outstanding flight characteristics for super fast turning and a greater stability for overpowered situations. And so the morphing together of all the positives from a ‘Bow’, ‘C’ and Delta has resulted in a true ‘All-In-One’ kite that impresses everybody in every aspect. Our dream realized! Good Bye 5th LineAs a 4 line kite the ‘GT’ has the built in safety of a 5 liner and can slide back without pressure onto both front lines. An actual 5th line has been made redundant so if the kite does invert it will not get damaged. In conjunction with a slightly modified, tried and tested,Core ESP-Bar System that allows for ‘self unswivelling’, the GT can be tuned to offer either a smooth or explosive ride and by changing points on the leading edge, can either have light handling or a more direct handling with lots of feed back. The ideal combination for maximum fun on the water! Target GroupThe answer is ALL. The GT addresses every need of every group, from Beginner to Pro whether they are Freestylers, Freeriders or Wakestylers and is the only kite among Bows, Hybrids and Deltas that has succeeded in convincing Die Hard ‘C’ Kiters that there is life after the ‘C’. Auto RelaunchWe have all seen the videos of Auto-Relaunch in knee-deep water? But only when you can relaunch a ‘GT’ without problems while swimming in deep water, can you really talk about Auto-Relaunch. The GT remains fully functioning to relaunch even after the hardest of beatings. Fast-Pump-SystemThe already proven One-Pump-System will convince you of its benefits every time you pump the kite up. This is without doubt the most reliable and maintenance free inflation system on the market today. EconomicsBecause the flying lines can be connected to either the inside or the outside of the Core-ESP-Bar ends it is possible to use just one bar for all sizes of kite from 5.0-15.0sqm. This makes the choice easy when using different kite sizes and saves money for the next holiday. | | What is the difference between the GT and the COMBAT?The COMBAT is a true wave kite, where as the GT capitalizes on the fact that it addresses the needs of a wider range of disciplines perfectly. A true "All In One". Explanation: A wave kite has to fulfill exactly three aspects: First and foremost to turn quickly. Secondly, to restart easily before the next wave comes pounding in. The kite should not lie on the water without any pressure on the lines. Thirdly, the kite must not generate any shear force when riding a wave, otherwise you would end up going too fast and loose the feel of the wave. Thrust of a wave kite is relatively unimportant, as you often ride early planing surfboards ranging from 5'6'' to 6'3''. For the GT we had alot more criteria to fulfill, so we just had to start again with a new construction. Firstly, we reduced the ‘Delta’ shape to achieve a greater performance and flight stability. Secondly we added a much more efficient profile that is unsusceptible to interferences and then furthermore improved the relaunch characteristics yet again.
Visually the ‘GT’ still looks like a ‘Delta’ kite, but has all the best attributes of a ‘Bow’ and ‘C’ within its canopy.
We also think there isn't another company with such a direct feeling kite. Longevity, construction in search of perfectionWithout question all Hiss-Tec products are created with "Great German Prowess” and are produced through German owned firms ensuring the quality of the product. Once again setting standards for durable, long lasting materials combined with a unique seam design and a service friendly construction. Even the bridle-pulley-lines are universal and easily replaceable. Stable valueAt CORE, Although there is no yearly cycle of producing a new kite, which tends to keep secondhand value high, we do tend to design three new prototypes every week, in the course of the year, so as to gain new insights through the process of elimination and in this way can also develop each size separately. An important factor. An example of this was the successful launch of the RIOT in April 2007 and because we were not forced to produce a new model the price remained stable. Then in April 2008, exactly a year later, we lowered the price and since then sold twice as many Riots as the year before. That is a novelty in the kite industry and obviously really successful. Service We have been told that we are simply the best when it comes to both Service and a fast reliable efficient back office.
